YOu might recognize my blog's quite messy, I like being one but naturally am a natural lonewolf.

This blog contains all the author's random musings about his world, his arts, his music, his culture and his humanity most especially about the poor people in the whole world. The author did not come from golden roots but he believed that he's destined to have golden leaves.

Pres. Gloria is BLIND!

"Go your ways: behold, I send you forth

as lambs among wolves."
~Luke 10:3, KJV

It's a Sunday morning, everything's fine and a very fine day for me to get the papers and read. The headline of the Philippine Daily Inquirer, as well as the editorial, contains mostly about the cha-cha (charter change). The cartoon depicts a common parallelism long before used by Christ, which was about the wolf in a sheep's clothing. For the common Filipinos like me this was quite poignant in a way that it happened before and seems to be happening again. The leaders of our country which serves as our beacon of hope and our visionary when things are somewhat topsy-turvy are doing again the same mistake. Power is really so tempting. Everyone wants to grab it and succumbs to its poison. Power is like drug and thus the leader of our country forgets the promises she bequeathed to her people. It makes me think of the Marcos' reign in our country. Too much extension made him a tyrant. I don't despise Marcos for who he was but I despised him for what he became and what he made our country.

President Arroyo seems to be taking the same route by changing the constitution for the reasons of economic progress and for the "good of the country" reason. Mistakes are often made because people tend to use as a front "the-good-for-the-country" slogan which is becoming an empty promise of which the poor Filipinos ignorantly and exasperatingly cling upon for the hope of change. The change, which we receive in poor amount, excruciatingly torturous amount, leaves our bleeding countrymen silently suffering and blindly hoping for some kind of Golden Age. The paradox of power and poverty which our leaders constantly juggle makes our country go around and around the roller-coaster of hunger and ignorance. We, Filipinos, are still indios, ignorant of our own suffering and we constantly haggle for progress yet it's our leaders that constantly pin us down. Blind beggars guided by blind escorts.

President Gloria is blind. She desperately needs to be operated. The change in the constitution will not alleviate the suffering of the Filipinos. Our countrymen do not need a change of the papers; we need the change of heart. People do change and I hope the heart of our President will. The constitution underwent so many changes and yet it is still the heart of men that decides what can be good for the country. Our country doesn't need a new constitution to be progressive. All she needs is a President whose constitution is written in his or her heart and whose intention is the good of his or her people, not the good of one's own pocket.

Summer is at the threshold and yet here i am trapped with piles of papers and books. I could just shrug this shoulder and heave a sigh. Whew..

There's so many things to be done but there's just not enough time to do it.

Tonight

Tonight...

_____________
tonight I'll dream of you,
for tomorrow's a day to waste
for deep musing and imaginings.
tonight I'll creep inside your head
I'll lay in your heart
I'll plant my emotions
for reaping i won't care,
tonight you'll be me, I'll be you
We'll dwell in each other's heart
we will sail
we will glide
we will soar
we will moan the sighs of yore
the sighs of love
my sighs,
your sighs...

Stupid nothings

The year will never end...it only repeats the same things.

___________________

Before this year ends, there are things that I wished have happened in my life;

1. Spend more time with my family (which I think seemed so impossible now)
2. Spend more time with my honey (er, next to impossible also)
3. have an acupuncture (hahaha, this...impossible really)
4. be in a med school (sadly, I'm working..so impossible again for now)

See, all these things seemed so next to impossibility. But I'm still so positive. Even if these things seemed so impossible, these are possible anyway;

1. I learned to value my family...(i become family-oriented)
2. I learned to love faithfully...(a real struggle but a blissful experience.)
3. I learned to cope with pain the exotic and unique way...(my secret)
4. I had a medical student as a girlfriend...(bwahahaha)...love you honey!!!

See...just always look forward for something possible and positive...don't be stupid..

hehehehe....

Small things

Be faithful in small things
because it is in them that your strength lies.
~Mother Teresa

___________________

Small things can open up to great realizations. It did mine lately. There's this funny quote, "Money talks but mine said "goodbye!". I can't help but flash a smile for it is rather a sad truth. *smile* Well, I just realized that small things or those considered lowly are but the faithful ones and remains within your limitations. Well, I just look at my cash and I realized that "Jose Rizal" seemed so loyal to stay within the perimeter of my urgent needs. But "Escoda and others" and "Ninoy" just pass by and nothing ,even a memory, is left. Blimey! hehe..

Christmas is coming. Let's celebrate its spirit in the small things that we have. After all, the lowly ones were the first recipient of that joyous news. Let us cherish the small ones that we have. Be contented. That's it. Be contented.

The Story of Life

Sometimes people come into your life and you know right away that they were meant to be there, to serve some sort of purpose, teach you a lesson, or to help you figure out who you are or who you want to become. You never know who these people may be (possibly your roommate, neighbor, coworker, longlost friend, lover, or even a complete stranger) but when you lock eyes with them, you know at that very moment that they will affect your life in some profound way.

And sometimes things happen to you that may seem horrible, painful, and unfair at first, but in reflection you find that without overcoming those obstacles you would have never realized your potential, strength, willpower, or heart.

Everything happens for a reason. Nothing happens by chance or by means of luck. Illness, injury, love, lost moments of true greatness, and sheer stupidity all occur to test the limits of your soul. Without these small tests, whatever they may be, life would be like a smoothly paved, straight, flat road to nowhere. It would be safe and comfortable, but dull and utterly pointless.

The people you meet who affect your life, and the success and downfalls you experience help to create who you become. Even the bad experiences can be learned from. In fact, they are probably the most poignant and important ones. If someone hurts you, betrays you, or breaks your heart, forgive them, for they have helped you learn about trust and the importance of being cautious when you open your heart. If someone loves you, love them back unconditionally, not only because they love you, but because in a way, they are teaching you to love and how to open your heart and eyes to things.

Make every day count!!! Appreciate every moment and take from those moments everything that you possibly can for you may never be able to experience it again. Talk to people that you have never talked to before, and actually listen. Let yourself fall in love, break free, and set your sights high. Hold your head up because you have every right to. Tell yourself you are a great individual and believe in yourself, for if you don't believe in yourself, it will be hard for others to believe in you. You can make of your life anything you wish. Create your own life then go out and live it with absolutely no regrets.

*MOST IMPORTANTLY!!!* If you LOVE someone tell him or her, for you never know what tomorrow may have in store!!!

Take me Home

Love defines YOU…

___________________

I lay alone on my bed

tight my hands embraced these pillows

think I they were you

empty infatuations they may appear

but how swollen and throbbing this heart

beating each one for you

you, my everything, my happy ever after

life goes ahead yet I'm here

take me home, to your heart

to your ever cherub-kissed bosom

this love of mine to you blossomed

take me home, to your direction

my love, my home, my own....

"Doing nothing is the most tiresome
job in the world because you cannot quit and rest."

I had been out of this world for quite months. lol. Many things happened. *sigh*

Quite tiring. *sigh* I always pause to ponder and reflect on grave matters. *smiling*
Well, i don't know how to start. If only typing these words can only alleviate these heavy burdens, i will gladly spend every minute in front of this computer.

*Sigh* They say you always have to face the music. Now what if the music demands too fast a tempo.? *sigh* I had been always asking God to please at least give me more strength.

The Mayonnaise Jar and Two Cups of Coffee

When things in your lives seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours in a day are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar and the 2 cups of coffee.

A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, he wordlessly picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full.  They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with an unanimous "yes."

The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed.

"Now," said the professor as the laughter subsided, "I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things--your family, your children, your health, your friends and your favorite passions--and if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full.

The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house and your car.

The sand is everything else--the small stuff. "If you put the sand into the jar first," he continued, "there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff you will never have room for the things that are important to you.

"Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play with your children. Take time to get medical checkups. Take your  spouse out to dinner. Play another 18. There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal. Take care of the golf balls first--the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand."

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented. The professor smiled. "I'm glad you asked.

It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend."

The Father's Hands

We can be the father's hands
And give peace a chance
And show the world
There is still a dream...

__________________________

One of the lyrics that i find meditative and nice...

THERE IS STILL A DREAM

When will we open our eyes
And finally discover
We are united by one blood
When will we realize
We're sisters and brothers
And what the world needs now is love
There's a dreamer inside
Each one of us
Who wants to believe

There is still a dream to believe in
There is still a hope after hope is gone

Oooohhh...
A brother down on his luck
Fallin' to chances
We could pick the brother up
A sister down on her knees
Praying for answers
Why don't we show the sister love
All over the world
Life isn't just
But i do believe

And everyone needs one
Cause no one is free from
The worries of life
That drag us down
If you can make it
My hands can take it
We'll stand together and pray

There is still a dream to believe in
There is still a hope after hope is gone
We can be the father's hands
And give peace a chance
And show the world (to show the world)
There is still a dream to believe in
There is still a hope after hope is gone
We could be the father's hands
And give peace a chance
To show the world (to show the world)
There is still a dream (there's still a dream)
There is still a dream

Recognized

Most of the things worth doing in the world
had been declared impossible
before they were done.
~ Louis D. Brandeis

________________________

Sometimes we thought that everything in this world seem pointless and just went on for the sake of obeying the rules and laws of nature. All seemed to be a big play of everything. Each has his own character to fulfill in the story, each shedding colors and nightmares from day to day happenings. It's somewhat telling us to accept in ourselves that we are but slaves of our own doings and we are in one way or another submitting ourselves to this. It's from the first streak of sunlight until the last kiss of the afternoon, it's always been my observation that we always pour all our struggles to satisfy our day so that at the brink of the hour we can pat ourselves for a job well done. Well, man is naturlly thriving for this for existence. For if we remove this out of our system, we can all become a pile of useless rags. yes. living rags...breathing but not progressing.
